Black Friday is officially just a few weeks away, and while here in Canada we celebrated Thanksgiving almost a month ago, we still like to join in on the United States’ shopping traditions with Black Friday. Shopping? Big savings? Count us in!

I’m not one to go crazy on Black Friday, but it is a good opportunity to snag Christmas gifts or items on your wish list if they happen to go on sale. That said, there are a few items I’ve purchased on Amazon that I would buy again 100 times over, because they’ve really been that good. Whether you need some gift inspiration or are simply curious about what’s in my shopping cart, here are my favourite Amazon purchases of all time ahead of Black Friday.

Levoit Air Purifier, White

Last Christmas I treated myself (or the household, I should say) to this air purifier. After doing extensive research it was one of the top models at the price point I was comfortable with. I was looking specifically for our bedroom, which, like most bedrooms tends to get stuffy and is insanely dusty. When I say I’ve seen a noticeable improvement in both those issues since using this air purifier, I’m not lying. Totally worth it, plus it’s already on sale for Black Friday. It comes with a single filter and you can buy replacement filters as needed. So far, the filters have only needed to be replaced twice, so each one has a 4-5 month lifespan, which is pretty good!

DYMO 12966 Mechanical Embosser with Tape, Black

Getting a label maker is like an adult right of passage, I’m sure of it. So if you don’t have your own label maker yet, consider this your sign. I love the stylish, vintage appeal of this mechanical embosser label maker, and I’ve been using it for years. Despite some of the iffy reviews, I’ve never had a problem with it! This one isn’t on sale for Black Friday yet but I’m still including it because I love it that much. 10/10 would repurchase.

TAZENI Baby Car Mirror, Hook Clip Design

If you are still using a baby car mirror with straps that hook around the back of the headrest – stop right now and grab this model instead. With our first daughter we had the strap design mirror and it was a complete pain in the butt. The straps don’t fit every vehicle well, and the mirror was constantly slipping and moving around. I was also genuinely worried about it becoming a projectile if we got in an accident. While I can’t guarantee the same wouldn’t happen with this mirror, what I can say is that it’s WAY more secure. It easily clips to the metal bars of the headrest, which means it actually stays in place. A product that does what it’s designed to do – revolutionary! Sarcasm aside, I’m a big fan of this baby car mirror.

Simple Modern Kids 24oz Tumbler with Handle and Silicone Straw Lid

This is another item that is currently not on sale for Black Friday, but considering I’ve bought it four times I have to sing its praises. Originally I bought one of these for our daughter last year so she could match me and my Stanley (yes, I’m basic and I’m fine with it). I hate to admit it but the Simple Modern tumblers are definitely better than Stanley’s for practicality. For one, they are leak proof, and the silicone straws are pretty handy, especially for kids. Plus the price is better, straight up. After our truck was broken into and the first tumbler was stolen I bought her a new one.

Now, these tumblers are my go-to gift to other toddlers and young kids as birthday presents. I’ve gifted them twice in the past couple months. They’re perfect for when the parents don’t want more toys brought into the house – practical and stylish! Plus they come in lots of fun colours.

SUBAY Portable Electric Nail Drill Machine

If you do your own nails at home, whether it’s gel or acrylic, you NEED this electric nail drill. I’ve written about this drill before and I will continue to tout it as my all-time favorite nail product. I started doing my own gel nails over 5 years ago, and bought this drill when I was first getting into it. I thought it would be my ‘beginner’ machine and I’d eventually upgrade as I got more experienced, but no need because this drill has lasted me the whole time. It does exactly what I need, has controls for the speed, is lightweight and reliable, and can fit numerous different drill bits.

I will say that I have since upgraded the bits that I’m using with it, but the pieces it comes with are fantastic beginner options. Since the drill accepts universal bits, it’s easy to upgrade later on and keep the same machine if needed.

Shark Navigator Self-Cleaning Brushroll Pet Upright Vacuum

When my husband and I first moved in together, this was our housewarming gift from my mom. After extensive research I decided on this model based on its good reviews and affordable price point. That was seven years ago and this vacuum is still going strong. Let me tell you, we’ve put it through the wringer, too. For example, when we renovated our primary bedroom this vacuum temporary replaced our shop vac to help clean up the insane amount of plaster and drywall dust we were dealing with, because the shop vac we had couldn’t handle it. I thought for sure we were sacrificing our little Shark Pet Pro at that point, but a solid cleaning was all it needed to bounce back.

I have deep love and appreciation for this vacuum, so it had to make the list. Truthfully, I think I’m a dedicated Shark brand customer for life now. No, it’s not on sale yet but I have a feeling it will go on sale before Black Friday, or for Boxing Day at the very least.

Amazon Basics 60-inch Lightweight Tripod with Bag

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not an expert when it comes to what makes a tripod great. However, I’ve had this tripod for two years now and I really like it. It can be adjusted in so many different ways, and it can be used for both phones and heavy duty cameras. I think the price point is good, and if you need a comprehensive tripod that’s also lightweight and easy to carry around, this is a great option!

RW REPUBLICA WAREHOUSE Vintage Handmade Rustic Door Hanging Bells

Again, these are currently not on sale for Black Friday but I’d still like to highlight them. These rustic cowbells fall into my “all-time favorite purchases category.” I bought these bells last year to add to my Christmas decor and I was so thrilled with their quality. I strung them into the garland on my mantle and added a couple to the wreath hanging on my front door. In my opinion, they rivaled the quality of similar bells you’ll often find in gift shops and decor shops, for a fraction of the price.

Cherrydew Women’s Short-Sleeved Button Down Bamboo Pajama Shorts Set

At the end of my most recent pregnancy, I treated myself to a pair of Love & Lore bamboo pajamas. They were so insanely comfortable I promptly decided I needed another pair, but rather than splurge a second time I went to Amazon hoping to find a good dupe. I landed on these ones from Cherrydew and I’m super happy with them! If pregnant me thought they were comfortable, that’s saying something. They aren’t quite as soft as the Love & Lore ones, but they’re pretty darn close considering they’re a fraction of the price. I got the sky blue pair the last time I ordered, but I’d for sure get the cream or blush pink next time!

SONGMICS Jewelry Box with Glass Lid

This was my birthday present from my husband last year and I still love it so much. I spent a lot of time looking at different options, trying to decide which jewelry box was best for me, and finally landed on this one and I’m glad I did. A few of my criteria included: stylish (of course), glass lid, plenty of ring storage, and no lift-out compartments (because I have a squirrel memory and if it’s out of sight it’s out of mind). This one checked all those boxes PLUS it’s adorable at 53.99 regular price. That said, it’s already on sale for Black Friday, so if you need a new jewelry box, snatch this one up quick!
